Congratulations 2017-18 Undergraduate Research Intern and 2018-19 Intern Advisor, Claire Cook, for receiving the 2019 Excellence in Undergraduate Research Award from the University of Arizona's College of Science! Claire has been doing award-winning work with Dr. Shane Byrne and Dr. Ali Bramson for the past few years on “Searching for Ice in the Southern Hemisphere of Mars Using Radar.” Claire is a graduating senior majoring in Astronomy and Mathematics and we are happy to learn she will continue her work with the Lunar and Planetary Lab next year as a graduate student.
