Image ASCEND High-Altitude Ballooning Program: Fall 2022 Launch Nov. 19, 2022 The ASCEND program's Fall 2022 launch was on November 19th. For this program, students are tasked to design, build, and then launch payloads each semester on high-altitude weather balloons. This year, we launched two balloons. Balloon #1 reached 100,420 ft and Balloon #2 reached 102,272 ft. Read more

May 10, 2022 During her time at ASU, Erin worked in Everett Shock’s lab evaluating spatial and temporal variability in hot spring chemistry by synthesizing 20 years of data. Read more
Image The NAU Space Jacks team takes 1st place overall at the First Nations Launch Competition! April 23, 2022 The NAU Space Jacks team also took 1st place in oral presentations and 3rd place in written reports. These awards include a grand prize of $3,000 and an invitation and travel stipend for a VIP tour at the Kennedy Space Center this summer. Read more
