Congratulations to 2018 Space Grant Intern, Max von Hippel!

Max has been awarded the Lusk Scholarship from the UA Mathematics Department, the Pillars of Excellence Award from the UA Honors College, and was nominated for both the Goldwater and Truman Scholarships from the UA Honors College.

Max has presented his research project, "Ice Mass Loss of Iceland Glaciers Using Slepian Functions and GRACE Gravimetry Data Since 2002," at the 2018 Arizona Space Grant Symposium, and at the UA Computer Science Undergraduate Student Showcase.

He plans to continue his research this summer, and to seek publication.
